Formulation of Non-Fired Bricks Made from Secondary Aluminum Ash

چکیده

The secondary aluminum ash is the black slag left after primary extracted from metal aluminum. To address environmental pollution and resource waste caused by accumulation landfill of ash, this study fabricated non-fired bricks using as principal raw material, which was supplemented cement, slaked lime, gypsum engineering sand. effects mix proportions various admixtures on mechanical properties were investigated, basis, hydration mechanism analyzed. results showed that 68.3% 11.4% 6.4% 4.2% 9.7% compressive strength reached 22.19 MPa, their quality indicators in line with MU20 requirements for Non-fired Rubbish Gangue Bricks. Evident reaction occurred inside bricks, main products being calcium silicate hydrate (CSH), aluminate (CAH) ettringite (AFt). Besides, a dense structure formed, enhanced brick strength.
